One sector that is likely to be systemically relevant, but is not universally so, is that of security services. Especially in times of coronavirus, employees are carrying out important tasks that are unfortunately often not honoured accordingly: After all, these professionals also put their own health at risk every day. Before the pandemic, security staff were at best seen checking luggage at the airport or checking people in at events, football stadiums and discos, but the areas of business have now shifted significantly.

Of course, air traffic has largely been cancelled, events are only taking place rarely and then with severe restrictions. Clubs and discos are closed - all areas of operation for an industry that employs over 270,000 people.

Why qualified security staff are indispensable!<\/h2>

However, since strict safety rules have been in place in Germany due to Covid-19, shops, banks, hospitals and care homes have been instructed to monitor these rules. While the population still complied with the measures to some extent in the spring, many business owners have noticed that there are more and more people who do not want to wear mouth and nose protection or do not keep their distance.

If a second corona wave rolls towards us in autumn and winter and a second lockdown is possibly even decided, the number of people who are tired of the safety measures will increase significantly. But what does this mean in practice for retail outlets and supermarkets, for example? They will need significantly more staff to not only carry out entry checks to ensure the number of people allowed per square metre, but also to monitor all other rules and enforce them consistently if necessary.

However, normal retail employees are neither trained nor qualified to do this. Or do you trust an average retail cashier to not only calm down a rowdy 1.90 man who doesn't want to put on a mask, but also to enforce the house rules?

The personnel problem of security service providers!<\/h3>

No problem, you think. That's what security services are for. The shops in NRW may even be familiar with Paffen Sicherheit. But unfortunately it's not that simple. Especially if there is a second lockdown. Of course, the demand for security services such as entry checks in front of shops, the wearing of face masks or social distancing has increased dramatically, but well-trained and qualified staff are not readily available.

One example may illustrate this: If perhaps 90 per cent of the security staff at D\u00fcsseldorf Airport are no longer needed at the moment, these qualified specialists cannot simply be deployed in the retail sector, in front of banks or hospitals. This is because you need a 40-day training course at the relevant Chamber of Industry and Commerce in accordance with Section 34a of the Trade, Commerce and Industry Regulation Act. Unfortunately, these IHK courses have also been closed since 16 March due to the coronavirus measures.

However, if a second corona wave does indeed break out in the coming weeks, it is quite possible that the safety measures will be tightened further, at least in certain areas. Restaurants already have to check the plausibility of their guests' address lists for fines of 250.00 euros. Mickey Mouse or Donald Trump are then not names that can simply be catered for. In front of all shops, regular temperature checks will become standard, as will the disinfection of hands. Supermarkets will also have to prevent hoarding and shoplifting. In addition, as more and more employees are sent from the office to work remotely, companies will need more security guards to protect their empty offices from uninvited visitors.

In general, empty buildings such as office blocks, hotels or public buildings are a real invitation to vandals. Graffiti is one of the lesser evils. Entire industrial estates now look deserted even during the day. It's reassuring to know that a qualified security service is regularly on patrol.

Outlook for customers of security services!<\/h4>

As long as Covid-19 has our society under control and our normal lives are restricted, we have an increased demand for security services on the one hand. On the other hand, however, we have an industry that cannot easily meet the growing demand with qualified personnel.

For example, Paffen Sicherheit employees are highly trained in all hygiene measures and have plenty of practical experience from their daily work at security-relevant hotspots. Because when it comes to turning away angry hospital visitors who are not allowed to visit their relatives for safety reasons, for example, tact is required. Just as the image of security forces that often prevails in the public eye has little to do with reality. Professional behaviour prevents the escalation of a latently unstable situation. Pure musclemen are less in demand.

It is therefore safe to assume that we will all have to live with restrictions and security measures for some time to come. It is then helpful to have a qualified security service at your side to provide security and protection for your employees and customers, your properties and premises. And it will also help to fulfil all official requirements in a customer-friendly and qualified manner.<\/p>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
