The Erkrath school centre is currently undergoing a comprehensive refurbishment phase. The background to the measures is a recent fire incident, which has necessitated structural adjustments. During the ongoing work, school operations continue to be organised, which requires increased attention, particularly in the area of traffic and pupil safety.
"The school centre in Erkrath is going through a special transition phase in which safety and order must function reliably in everyday life. Calm, clear cooperation is crucial, especially for school and bus transport. This cooperation has quickly become established and is helping to ensure that school operations remain stable despite the ongoing refurbishment."

We have been working for the town of Erkrath at the school centre since 2025 and are monitoring the situation until the renovation measures are completed. Our employees provide security staff for the bus area and ensure that school transport runs smoothly and safely. This includes regulating bus traffic as well as escorting pupils on and off the bus, especially at peak times in the morning and at lunchtime.
The focus is clearly on prevention and safety. The additional presence can defuse confusing situations and clearly structure routes. Our emergency services act calmly and maintain an overview even in crowded situations.
The measure is perceived very positively by parents, pupils and teaching staff. It creates security and trust in a special transition phase and helps to ensure that everyday school life can run smoothly despite the refurbishment.
"Thanks to the Paffen guard and security service, our pupils can also enter the building safely during the construction phase."
