After their arrival, refugees are initially housed in so-called initial reception centres, also known as refugee accommodation or refugee homes. Paffen Wach- und Sicherheitsdienst has been looking after several initial reception centres and refugee shelters in North Rhine-Westphalia on behalf of several cities and municipalities since the first major wave of refugees in 2015. Our company is certified to DIN77200 Level 2 and our quality management is certified to ISO9001-2015. This guarantees that we fulfil high security standards.
To the Refugee protection and to the Object protection We only deploy trained employees for access control, personal protection and building security at the refugee centres. If required, we can provide security with our Precinct inspections also cover particularly vulnerable areas. Our minimum requirements are based on VBG regulations and require the Chamber of Industry and Commerce (IHK) licence in accordance with Section 34a of the German Trade Regulation Act (GewO).
War, persecution, illness – The refugees in the initial reception centres and refugee homes have often endured a very hard time and have been through a lot both mentally and physically. Our security staff therefore have to demonstrate a great deal of sensitivity in their dealings with them and also overcome language barriers so that a Respectful interaction on site in the asylum centres is guaranteed.
For this reason, as part of our internal quality management, all employees working in refugee accommodation centres receive ongoing in-house training on the special features of refugee protection – z. e.g. on the topic intercultural competence and de-escalation.
